Canon A510 Review (By Bailey AKA Mr_Yuck) Introduction: You may have heard of the Canon A## Series, you may know that the A70 was a widely popular 3.2 Megapixel Digital Camera, you may know that it was replaced by the A75, and, you may even know, that on January 20, 2005, the replacement for the A75 was released, the Canon A510, a smaller version of the A75, with improved zoom, fewer required batteries, and SD memory. Whether or not you knew all of those things, I dont really care, that was just the opening paragraph. I guess I'll start with the features and specs. Street Price as of 2/9/05: $200
So it's a 3.2 Megapixel digital camera, with 4x optical zoom, equivalent to 140mm in 35mm camera talk...that's nothing to sneeze at considering the price and size of this camera. You can have autofocus, or manual, you can control the shutter speed manually, as well as the aperture, pretty nice for the price I say. The camera has a zoom flash that has 3 different intensities, plus it's tied to the zoom lens so it can be automatic. You can take video and audio with this camera, 3 minute clips of 320x240 and 30 second clips at 640x480, though the 640x480 has a reduced framerate too, so you would probably wanna stick with 320x240. You can add audio memos to the pictures through the playback menu. If you have the extra cash, there are lots of nifty accessories for this camera including: Powerful external flash, waterproof case, wide angle lens, close up lens, and telephoto lens. You can choose from 4 different image sizes: You can choose different compression: Superfine, Fine, and Normal Yeah...it's a nifty camera...read on Page 2: Size Comparisons and Physical Views
